Yeah, he doesn’t check any of Cohen’s boxes.

Cohen painted himself into a corner with his interview on Head to Head.

I'm not advocating for Berry, and I know a lot of folks would be upset, but I wouldn't. He's a winner. That said, I would rather have Louisville, Texas Tech or TCU's coach.

Painted himself into a corner, or let out more info a bout a done deal than he should've? Guess we'll know soon enough.

Yep. If we hire anyone other than about 6-10 coaches, Cohen's going to look like an idiot. Honestly, if I was him I would have been a lot more generic about who the next coach would be. Just say there's been a lot of interest in the job and I'm confident we'll hire a very good coach, and leave it at that.

Berry hasn’t done jack. Guess we’ve got different definitions of a “winner”. The USM program he took over was 10x the program that Louisville, Tech, or TCU were when those guys got there. He’s proceeded to never actually win a regional.

If you had to make me guess right now - I would be 75% McDonnell.

To be fair, Louisville & TCU have a lot more resources than USM does. And it's not like they had a lot of regional wins before he took over. Their only one is the 2009 CWS year. But yeah, I agree, I'd be pretty disappointed if he was the guy (he won't be).

And with the Bo Bounds interview... And with all the Road Dawgs stops...

He’s had several opportunities to back down from his original statements on H2H and hasn’t waiverd one bit. If anything he’s been even more bold and raised the expectations higher since that initial interview.

Cohen said extensive HC experience and multiple CWS appearances. Technically, Henderson checks both of those boxes.**

I think we all expect a true big name hire now, after all the hype. And, as I recall, Henderson has said all along that he's not interested in being a head coach.

The reanimated corpse of Babe Ruth has a better shot at landing the job.

It sure helps when the toughest in conference competition is La Tech.

I would be thrilled with McDonnell. If you had to make me guess right now, I would be 90% Schlossnagle. If you told me it would be one of those two, I'd be 100% happy regardless.
