Never Been to Starkvegas? Here's some tips..
>
If you want to find a place to eat or drink you will not find anything on the east side of the campus so do not get off on the first exit (there is usally one of those flashing signs that tell you to take the next exit anyway) If you want to find a place then I suggest you take the highway 12 exit which will take you to the west side of the campus and into downtown Starkville. If you want a Walmart or want to avoid the gameday traffic then go up to the third exit which is highway 25. Take that south to the highway 12 exit and there will be a walmart at that exit and will be the west side of Starkville and then follow 12 back to the stadium.

Once you get close to the stadium you will find that they block off nearly all roads surrounding the stadium. Try to find a place where others are parking. Do not park on the grass unless you pay the $10-$12 for parking. If you park on campus and park on the grass they will tow your car. The only exception is their pay to park grass lots. Now off campus is a different story and you can usually get away with parking on grass as long as you see others parking near.

Here is a map concerning the parking and restroom and shuttle areas. It is on the lower half of the page. Yellow area is visitors parking

If you are in the upper sections you will most likely have to walk up the ramps. Give yourself some time to walk up the ramps. It does not look that high but the walking zig-zag up the ramp is very long. And with them selling 'standing room only' tickets many people will be trying to get a view from the ramp area.
Also if you have never been to Starkville then get ready to meet Mr Cowbell.
Some of the Dog fans have larger bells than mobile homes. They ring them on the way to the game, before the game, and loud during the game. Just be prepared for it. If you have never seen the cowbells it is a tradition that you will tell everyone and is really something to behold. It is loud if someone is sitting right next to you but to be honest it really only makes a loud din to the players on the field.

After the game nearly everything will be closed. The highway 45 exit in Columbus is your best bet for something to be open. But be prepared to get all the way back to TTown before being able to stop for gas or food.
