its the fact that we are playing an undefeated Alabama team, ranked 2nd or 3rd in the nation, against one of the best coaches in the nation, and to a man on
here- we honestly believe we have a chance to win the game. We all realize that we probably wont- but we do have a chance. And thats a great thing.

I'll go ahead and admit that... | #1

seeing what Mullen and Co. have done with this year's group, that I'm seriously excited about what we could do next year with Cam Newton at QB.

The anticipation for this weekend is as high as it ever gets in Starkville. Byrne has truly done an amazing thing here for us by building our expectations. The
day we lose him I expect Keenum or whoever in charge to find an AD that seeks to be the best just as Byrne has. The foundation he has laid as an Athletic
Director will be hard to match when he leaves but atleast when we seek a future AD we will have a much better idea of what is needed and higher expectations
out of them.
"Of course I can have an intelligent conversation about MSU Ole Miss. I think/hope we'll play better in November like we did last year. MSU has two
(in my mind) completely unwinnable games in the next two weeks. Bama is a guarenteed loss despite the unbelievable optimism from state fans. There's just
no way you're going to upset them. Arkansas may be your teams worst matchup on your whole schedule. Mallet's going to have 250 at halftime. I'd
take Ark -17 in that game. If I'm wrong I'll admit it. That leaves the egg bowl. Who knows. I know we've played a whole lot worse this year than I
thought we would. I still feel confident we'll be state this year.

I think so too. A legit passing game would make this thing go... | #5

and I think Russell will give that. But having Cam, who is made for this offense, could be something extra.

Yep.
It is good to have the atmosphere, and more importantly, the "Hope" back. Next year could be good. We have a lot of guys that are going to need to step up, especially if we don't get Cam, but i like the direction things are heading.
"If you loose sleep over MSU Athletics....
You will have many sleepless nights."
Alabama cornerback/ punt returner Javier Arenas, on being ready to play: "Even if I don't feel like going out and doing something, after I finally get that first lick, it's on. I'm like, 'Let's go.' It's like if I don't feel like eating cereal and I take that first spoonful, I think, 'All right, I can finish the rest of it.'" |

The guy making all of this happen for MSU is Greg Byrne. He's the one that we are going to have to pony up the cash for to hold on to before too long.

Or we could very well end up with Bart Gregory as our next AD. Nice guy-but he's no Ninja. Not even close.

I'm not stubborn enough to say, 'This is our offense, this is what we're doing,' even if we don't have the personnel to run it.--Dan

Just what you said. We can play anybody and feel like we will have a chance to win.
Give Russell a chance.
