Hot Artichoke Dip...

1 (14oz) can artichoke hearts, drained
1 C grated Parmesan cheese (fresh)
1 C mayonaisse
1 tsp lemon juice

Mash artichokes and add next 3 ingredients. Heat at 350 for 10 minutes. Serve with wheat crackers.

Beats ANY restaurant appetizer.

since we're sticking with restaurants, the best is the PRESIDENTIAL PLATTER at Mary Mahoney's.

I'll have to agree with DS here and say cheese sticks from Flo and Eddies.

Close 2nd is jalapeno cheese logs from The Grill.

The Buffalo Shrimp and the loaded nachos from the Bulldog in Jackson are pretty damn good too.

They usually bring out my scattered smoothered and covered out before my waffle when I order the All Star, so I think they could be considered and appetizer.

Every time I have ever been, someone is having a birthday. "Hail, Hail, the gangs all hear. What the hell do we care!" Gets stuck in my head for the next two weeks.

The jalapeno cheese sticks at the Grill used to be a once a week deal for me, after work, mixed with a couple drafts and a ballgame. I'll also throw in the spinach artichoke dip from A.J.'s in Jackson and the crab wontons from P.F. Changs.

The best homemade appetizer is my rotel. Rotel, Velveeta, Cream Cheese, Spinach, Garlic, Crawfish Tails, and A pack of crumbled bacon

If the place makes it's own flour tortillas it's a plus to get some of them and dip them in it.

however they don't always have it and its not on the menu so you've got to ask.

Guacamole at Beauty Shop is the best in town though.

is that it is the site of my parents' first date almost 50 years ago. If they hadn't enjoyed themselves, they may have never gotten married and I wouldn't even exist. Therefore,Crechales's will always be okay in my book.

The chips and salsa at On the Border in Southaven. Their salsais a little spicier than the rest, and not as sweet.
The fried crawfish tails with sweet red pepper sauce at Show Me's.
Logan's Smokin Hot Grilled Wings
