Where Eagles Dare .......Pick up it and Kelly's Heroes on Blu-ray combo for $20. WED was shot totally on location and it really shows. All the scenes involving snow will likely never be duplicated.

The Godfather ......as a single guy, if you ever find a girl who loves The Godfather I don't know whether I'd marry her or run from her.

The Maltese Falcon... "When you're slapped, you'll take it and LIKE IT!" Enough said.

Goldfinger..... There will never be another scene filmed like Bond with Pussy Galore in the barn. And Jill Masterson.. I mean, what self-respecting guy doesn't now know when you paint a super hot naked chick head to toe with gold paint that you have to leave a small patch at the base of the spine unpainted or she'll croak?

This list could go on forever......

It may have fighter jets but it's a chick flick disguised as a guy film. Plus, it gets negative points for having Tom Cruise in it.

The newest Rambo was pretty damn good also. Sly in the back of the jeep with the 50 cal for about 10 min of straight killing. Army of darkness was the best of the Evil Dead and had some great one liners.

I just watched it for the first time in a while a couple of weeks ago, and it's a good flick. It also should lose points for the volleyball and locker room scenes. Fighter jets are cool, though.

I didn't really think it through - I would put Braveheart above it, along with The Godfather, GoodFellas, and probably a few more. </p>

Film School Rejects: (http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/news/red-dawn-not-coming-soon-to-a-theater-near-you.php)

What’s getting some political conservatives up in arms is the delay in the release of this new Red Dawn that supposedly kicks not only Commie butt, but goes after the Obama administration. This of course pleases the conservatives and they have their popcorn ready and are salivating over using the movie as propaganda.

The New Yorker: (http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/evanosnos/2010/06/red-dawn-again.html)

Before we begin hearing about the “hurtfeelingsoftheChinesepeople,” I would point out that this film also hurts the feelings of some American people who know we can do better than this.

The Awl: (http://www.theawl.com/2010/05/real-america-red-dawn-remade-china-is-coming-for-our-children)

It’s basically porn for survivalist militia types who believe it is “real” scenarios like this that justify everything from the sale of assault rifles to electing nationalist fear-mongers.

Slashfilm: (http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/06/10/more-mgm-fallout-red-dawn-delayed-perhaps-indefinitely/)

...a bald example of how one-dimensionally America generally, at all levels, thinks about China and Chinese people.
