If we can stop the pass against Arkansas and control the ball like we did against Florida, we could win that game. We are at home, we could have 7 wins at that point, and it's senior day. That will be a fun game to be at.

State's defense has impressed me all year. Relf appears to be getting better and State is gaining confidence. Arkansas may be losing some more confidence defensively.

However, State could easily lose to UK, Arky, and Ole Miss if not careful All teams are capable of beating State b/c State doesn't put teams away yet. All three teams have porous defenses though. So that's in State's favor.

Before the season started, I was hoping like heck for 6 wins out of the Fighting Mullens. I didn't expect the 6th win could come as early as the Homecoming game in Starkvile. No time for a let down though on the part of the Bullies. If they can take care of bidness next Saturday, then 7 wins are likely and 8 would not be out of the question. 9 wins?? No way. Winnable games include UAB, UK, and maybe the Yogis. Arkansas is too potent on offense for the passing game deficient Dogs to handle. I didn't think Arkansas had anything at QB once you get past Mallette. I was dead wrong. Their second stringer looked great yesterday against AU. Why can he step up and look like a seasoned veteran while Tyler Russell is content holding a clipboard on the sidelines? I suppose a stable of excellent wide receivers on the Arkansas roster makes a little difference, wouldn't you say? The wide receiver position is something in need of major upgrade at MSU. Nothing wrong with the defense though, and Vic Ballard continues to impress.

they are very vulnerable on defense. This equates to wins that they may not be favored in but also very prone to being upset. I like State being able to run the ball against them and keep them off the field.

In regards to Arky's 2nd string QB Wilson. He did look very good at times but also had some horrendous INTs against a bad Auburn defense. Verdict is still out!

Takes longer to be prepared to play as this level.

They've looked like the best team in the league so far. The Mule is a difference maker.

Auburn's pass defense is a huge problem for them right now. If they don't get it fixed it will catch up them somewhere down the road.

Then I saw how shit-tastic your offense can be last night so I'm kind of backing away from it. I will say this. The only good defense they've seen is MSU, and we held them to 17 (and basically shut them down after the 1st quarter). And LSU's defense is better than MSU's. They sure won't be putting 65 on the board next Saturday.

their defense is about as non physical as any SEC defense I`ve seen in a while.

LSU never has had much luck in the Plains against Auburn and the refs. As you saw yesterday, there is some home field seasoning that goes on in the Plains.

Tyler Wilson for Arkansas is a redshirt sophomore, not a freshman. That makes a difference.

..polls worry me, never like to back in to a poll [as some teams must fall and be replaced with a, "who, ME, team?"] like, "hey, Chump..you're number 22 this week..cause you ain't been kicked in the teeth lately." Polls at end of season O.K. I guess.

You're the only one I trust Stallion, Good Luck against the plainsmen!
