    Preseason Prognosticators - Week 12

Wins = GW, Tulane, UT, UMiss

We will lose to UAB but upset UT. Frankly, 2-10 would not shock me. I just think something different will happen like losing to Maine and beating UF or losing to Tulane and beating Bammer.

The only reason we beat the rebels is because they will be bad and have given up by then.

Improvement in that we actually beat the C-USA teams on the schedule this year.

Wins over Tulane, Gf'nW, UAB, UK (or UT with Fulmer getting Croomed, but not both), and UM.

Remember the thread about getting wooly as football season approaches. I guess I am. I say we win the 3 non-conference games and beat either KY or OM.

Or we could get beat by GWU and beat both KY and OM for 2-6 in the SEC.

    Or we could go 0-12.

    Preseason Prognosticators - Week 12

    2007 FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
    SCHEDULE SUBJECT TO CHANGE
    DATE OPPONENT
    8-30-07 LOUISIANA STATE (Thur.)
Lose 55-0. The LSU defense, one of the best in the country, gets to see just how good their scrubs are. This is probably the easiest scrimmage LSU has this year, after beating on each other for 4 weeks prior to this game. Henig breaks his other collarbone, while Anthony Dixon tears an ACL.
    9-8-07 at Tulane
Lose 24-0. Tulane celebrates playing in the Superdome with a thrashing of Mississippi State. Their new Head Coach opens up with an exciting, wide-open offense and an aggressive defense, which confuses Croom and the staff (to be fair, putting Croom and the staff in a round room and telling them to piss in the corner would confuse them).
    9-15-07 at Auburn
Lose 56-0. Score is 49-0 at halftime, but Tuberville tells the backup QB to kneel every time they get the ball in the second half. The Auburn special teams accidentally scores a TD in the second half after our punter kicks a -25 yard punt into our own end zone. Afterwards, State fans that are left are told what a fahn, Chrustian man Sylvester Croom is and how much better he is for our program than that evil cheater Jackie Sherrill, and that we should be patient with him.
    9-22-07 GARDNER FREAKING WEBB
Lose 3-0. Our best effort of the year. Scoreless in the fourth quarter, we're driving downfield with our emergency QB Chris Relf after all the other QB's have gone down with season-ending injuries. However, C Aaron Feld snaps the ball back like it's a punt and the ball is recovered by Gardner-Webb at the 30 where they kick a Field Goal on the last play of the game.
    9-29-07 at South Carolina
Lose 35-0. Disheartened by the last game, the team gives up. However, Steve Spurrier calls off the 1st string after 1 quarter and instructs the timekeeper to keep running the clock for the next 3 quarters no matter what. Afterwards, SC fans regale us with how wonderful a coach Coach Croom is, and how we're blessed to have him.
    10-6-07 UAB
Lose 10-0. Without our offensive spark Omarr Conner this year, UAB will shut us out in spite scoring the same number of points against us. TD will be called back after Keon Humphries taunts receiver trying to catch him and lets ball go out of bounds at midfield after having clear sailing to the end zone.
    10-13-07 TENNESSEE
Lose 56-0. We save Phil Fulmer's job. Tennessee fans compliment us on how classy our team is and how fine a coach Sylvester Croom is and tells us to be patient.
    10-20-07 at West Virginia
Lose 63-0. Steve Smith (or whoever the QB is, I'm too lazy to look it up) has a career day, rushing for 375 yards and passing for 450 more.
    10-27-07 at Kentucky
Lose 21-0. Rich Brooks is fired after fans complain he didn't cover the spread.
    11-10-07 ALABAMA
Lose 70-0. Nick Saban makes a statement game, plus State goes into game overconfident after beating them last year.
    11-17-07 at Arkansas
Lose 59-0. Houston Nutt is auditioning for the State job after the father of Enbred Fokker, Arkansas Freshman bluechip lineman, complains that his son/nephew shouldn't be getting redshirted.
    11-24-07 MISSISSIPPI
Lose 2-0 in overtime. After Carlson misses 6 field goals, the game goes into overtime 0-0. State wins the toss and promptly asks for the ball first. After losing 65 yards on 3 plays under the leadership of emergency QB Robert Elliot, Croom elects to punt and it's blocked out of the back of the end zone.

Knowing exactly how the college Overtime format works, I wouldn't doubt one bit if Croom tried to punt in Overtime against Ole Miss.

I want so bad to put 4-8 and think we'll beat both C-USA teams, but just can't bring myself to believe it. Sad.

Pulls out victory aGAINST O the Coach. O the Coach gets canned and goes ape shit on his wife. Win over Ole Miss saves Crooms from the unemployment line. However, 1-7 is still 6th place in the west, but never you mind since Crooms coaches for MSU!

    LSU - loss (35-6); it'll be close for a MState/LSU affair
Tulane - loss (28-24); dang, we suck
Auburn - loss (31-7); we actually score on them this year!
GW - win (35-14); a loss would not shock me
    USC - loss (42-14)
    UAB - win (13-10)
Tennessee - loss (27-17); play decent, but still lose
WVU - loss (52-7); big, big, big loss
UK - loss (45-2; lots of passing yards given up
Bama - loss (27-6); revenge game
Arkansas - loss (38-14); will we ever beat them again?
Ole Miss - loss (16-14); just because we suck worse

I eagerly anticipate the couple of weeks after the Egg Bowl to see what happens to Croom (if it doesn't happen sooner, though that's not likely). Surely 2-10 outta do it.....
