Concession prices being lowered this year

    http://hailstate.com/news/2018/7/12/...ll-venues.aspx

Now you can get your smelly cups for half price.

I support the two most frustrating teams in America: The New Orleans Saints and The Mississippi State Bulldogs

It's gonna be a loooooong year for you then. I agree with you, except that it doesn't really bother me all that much.

    Buy.

    Thats a pretty significant drop

wish they would do that for tickets.

It will be nice to get nachos and a water for $4. Unless mini hot dogs, and a mini plate of nachos.

    Wrong Sausage?

Anyone know why Johnsonville is the official sausage of the SEC but we only get to have Polk?

I had no idea the prices were that outrageous. I haven't bought food or drinks at a game in years, I always eat tailgating and carry an empty water in to fill it up at a water fountain. Those prices were ridiculous, $4 for 1 water that costs $3 for 24 in the grocery store?

As someone who takes kids to the games, I'll probably still spend the same amount, but the kids will be twice as happy...

Good move. If the M-Braves would do something similar, I'd take the fam there more often too.

eta: I'll gladly continue to pay full price for the Dreamland nachos...

I read somewhere. It may have been here. But revenue went way up on nights like $1 hotdog nights at baseball games.

Maybe someone looked at those numbers.

Bc Polk’s is the “official meat company of Mississippi State” and pays us a nice fee to be the company.

Nice, Atlanta did this with the new Mercedes-Benz stadium. We went to an event there a few months ago and it just made for a lot more pleasant experience to know you're not being charged $20 to buy a couple of hotdogs & cokes for your kids. They had the cheap stuff, and then had higher priced options - special burgers, pizza, etc. I guess if you wanted something better.

Serious question here. When I was a student at MSU it wasn’t uncommon for students to bring in liquor and mix drinks in the bathroom or in the stadium. Is that common for non students at our football games? How many of you non students still bring in alcohol? I wouldn’t buy the beer even if they sold it. They’d charge 9 dollars a beer

It’s a good move if for no other reason the bottled water is cheaper. It really gets me in a bad mood to not be able to bring a water bottle in and then get charged 4.00 for water. I never bought any of the food because I always ate elsewhere before or after the game.

I always brought in whiskey until I had kids. A lot of people in my section did. If they ever do start selling beer they will probably crack down on "bootleggers"

We take bourbon into every night game. I don't sneak it in like I used to when I was a student, I just put a flask in my back pocket and walk in the gate. We have aisle seats right next to the concourse and there is always a Deputy standing there. We mix it out in the open and no one has ever said a word to us. We don't get hammered and act like asses, though...

I take an empty water bottle (squeeze type not screw lid) into every game and fill it up at a water cooler. They don't say anything about an empty bottle

While true, I can assure you that they’re starting to see some red flags with both attendance and season ticket sales.

About 3-4 years ago, I went through the upgrade process, and it was pretty much a joke since nothing was available aside from worse seats than what I already had. This year, I had my pick of just about anywhere in the stadium.

I’m sure there are multiple reasons for this, but I think the whole stream any game from anywhere tech that’s readily available now is really hurting attendance everywhere
