    Mario Kegler

For any who were upset about losing Kegler a couple years ago, no need to feel bad any more. Was suspended first several games of the season, now playing but only averaging 8.8 points per game in 29 minutes. 2 for 24 from 3 point land.

Well, it is Baylor, so there's that.

Wasn't upset then, not upset now. He was getting plenty of minutes but had some fool in his ear about his role and it was disrupting the team. It wasn't going to work so he needed to go.

Please correct this if I'm wrong.

A quick internet search shows Mario Kegler starting out in Montgomery County, MS, then to Callaway in Jackson, MS, then to Arlington Country Day in VA, then to Oak Hill Academy in VA then to MSU then to Baylor and he's just now a redshirt sophomore.

Seems like a recipe for success (for his handler).

I agree. Sometimes you get a guy like Charles Rhodes that grows up along the way and ends up being great, but that’s the exception, not the norm. Kegler seemed like he was going to be a distraction from day 1, and while he was undoubtedly talented, it’s like he was convinced that he was the next LeBron.

    Best of luck to him

He left each stop just as everyone was starting to realize, “Hey, this guy’s not that good.”

Can we see whoever downvoted this and ban them if it wasn't a fat finger?

I'm not wishing best of luck to Kegler. 17 em. Avg 9 pts as a soph isn't exactly terrible though.

Kegler was really frustrating because the guy is a beast physically (6’7”, 230 lbs) yet all he ever did here was jack up three after three. I always felt that he was wasting his size and not being nearly aggressive enough attacking the basket.
