We're for sure playing Monday at Shoreline, a public course by the airport with greens fees and cart for less than $35. I've heard the casino course right across the state line in Council Bluffs is a good value for around $45 to $50, I believe its's Harrah's course, may try to play there Sunday morning/early afternoon before our game.

We're just a twosome, so if any others are looking to drink beer and play golf, let me know.

Great info. 1 question. Why not just buy the tickets on flashseats?

Southern Miss alum, but a long-time lurker of thisboard. This is by far my favoritecollege sports message board, you guys are honest, insightful and your OT postsare great. I moved to Omaha in December,so I thought I’d give you guys a heads up on a few things I haven’t seenmentioned here yet:

    - Potholes. Theywill be everywhere due to how bad this past winter was, so if you’re driving toOmaha and using your own vehicles to get around be wary of them. Also prepare a few extra minutes of drivingdue to construction going on to fix them.
    - For those flying in, there has been local talk of Uberand Lyft drivers boycotting the CWS. Nebraska is still under a state of emergency for the floods, and statelaws say that during such times surge pricing isn’t allowed. There was talk of this during BerkshireHathaway’s annual meeting last month that didn’t stick but a lot of drivers saythey lost money that week, so the boycott might stick this time. I would check with your hotels to see if theyare providing shuttle services.
    - Omaha recently started a scooter rideshareprogram. If you’re interested download theapp for “Lime”. Also, be prepared to seea whole bunch of lime green scooters around.
    - Consider Midtown Crossing and the Blackstone Districtfor your nighttime entertainment. It’s notas crazy as downtown or the Old Market. Focus on the areas between 30th and40th Streets and Farnam Street if you’re interested. Midtown Crossing is even holding a Zydecofestival the weekend before the championship series (which I’m hoping you guysmake, as I invested some capital in you at 15-1 before regionals began.

Safe travels to all of you making the trip, and enjoy Omaha!

Our other 2 guys couldn't get off work. If you need a place to crash, and aren't a serial killer, PM me. If you are a serial killer, that's fine, we'll just have you pay a higher pct for the insurance risk.

We fly in Saturday morning from Bham and are there through Wednesday.

Always great to get a local perspective.

On a scale of 1 to Jackson, how bad are Omaha's potholes?

If it’s anything like our trip last year, the walls in that Airbnb saw things that would make Ozarka blush. Also, those corn fed Nebraska women prefer being the big spoon.

Went to Louis M's Burger Lust last year because of the name , and good reviews. The next week I talked to a friend that was from Omaha, and he said that's the place he would have recommended. It's not downtown but not far away. Local place, cool atmosphere and vibe overall. Owner was a nice guy.

Cascios steak House. Popular. Feeds the teams free. Opens at 4:30. It'll be packed for dinner and they'll run out of prime rib. Get that if you can. Limited menu due to the crowds this week and next. You'll prob see someone you know there.
