Does anyone know if Garrett Schrader landed yet?

I think he may be half way to the moon at this point...

Hopefully, it's before the game next week. We could really use him if Stevens is still out.

I was just walking to the ramp from my seat here he got hit. I made it to my car, turned on the radio, and was halfway down 12 before Wyatt said he finally hit the turf. Traffic was very light, though. Had it been a regular game I probably wouldn't have been much further down than StrangeBrew.

Had he gotten the first down and we won the game, that would have been an iconic play in our history. Unfortunately he was just a yard or two short. I am just glad that he didn't land on his head or get hurt otherwise.

It was really a big play by the KSU defender that met him at his apex and slowed

his forward momentum. If he had not made that play it would have been a first down, the flight path was sound*.

Wind was out of the south and blew him back. Otherwise, first down.

The kid is tough! I'm glad we have him for the next 3, maybe 4, years.

Pardon my ignorance, but when the KSU defender launched himself to hit Garrett, why wasn’t that targeting? I almost vomited on my couch when I saw the hit thinking he was gone.

That's some pretty funny shit there. Unfortunately, we are the butt of the joke.

He had no way of knowing, really, but if he would have known he was oriented up and down the field and extended the ball before he landed, I believe he may have got it. Heck of an effort, regardless.

Looking at it on replay, all he had to do was extend his arm past his head when his head was pointed down field and he would have gotten the first down. Just no spacial awareness I guess.**

Or.... if he had thrown the ball to the open receiver in front of him when he got outside, that receiver “might” have surprised the whole stadium and caught the ball!***
