I hesitate to do this, but I report, you decide

Should we end up with a 5-7 record, this APR bowl eligibility issue is back in play. Interestingly enough, its there for Mississippi as well.

    1. Ohio University. Currently 4-5. Has Western Michigan (definite loss), Bowling Green, and Akron (both winnable) Likely 5-7.
    2. Mississippi. Currently 4-6. Has LSU (loss) and Mississippi State. Will be 5-7 at best.
    3. Kent State. Currently 3-6. Has Buffalo, Ball State and Eastern Michigan (all tossups) Needs to win 2 to be 5-7.
    4. Mississippi State. Currently 4-5 Has Alabama (loss), Abilene Christian (win) and Ole Miss. Will be 5-7 at minimum.

There are 53 bowl eligible teams at this moment. There are 78 slots.

There are 18 teams with five wins. According to the FPI, there are just 20 teams with favorable schedules to get to six (we are one of them). But if we don't make it, we would be no worse the fourth (Ole Miss would be second) in the pecking order for APR eligible teams. The deepest they have ever had to go with APR teams was three in 2016 (we were included).

Can either of us go while on probation?
I support the two most frustrating teams in America: The New Orleans Saints and The Mississippi State Bulldogs

I thought this was not applicable to us since we are on probation?

Speaking of probation, have we discussed how ridiculous it is that out of less than 20 schools that are currently on probation in at least one sport, all three Mississippi teams are currently among that elite group.

Sadly, the NCAA believes in participation trophies, too.

Huh? Neither of us have a bowl ban. Of course we can go.

I don't see how we could possibly be considered for a bowl based on APR since we had 10 incidents of academic fraud.

If the tie breaker is science ethics, we might be in some trouble.

Not that I'm holding out any hope, but why not assuming our APR was good enough?
