Howland SUCKS balls again...that is all!

...nothing to see here and same song, same chorus, same verse but the only thing different is his 6th year should be a pink slip year! After 6 damn years, our teams STILL don't practice Free Throws and we continue to be HORRIBLE after 6 years on the free throw line. Simply UNACCEPTABLE for a Division 1 Power 5 coach to have his teams performing like this year after year...Howland is too old and too washed up and is a re-tread. And once again, we score a total of a measly 42 points total for the entire damn game. Howland never understood Offense and he never will. He is stuck in 1995 NCAA UCLA basketball and has never evolved!!!!

Because they lost one game in 1995. Probly due to poor free throw shooting. Harrick/ Howland....coaches are not important. Both start with an H

Stans team giving Memphis all they want.

Itís time for the anti-stans guys to admit what a colossal mistake firing him was.

At the least, itís time to admit that we know exactly what weíre getting with Howland. Middle of the pack recruiting, middle of the pack coaching, and a team ceiling of making a push for an NCAA bid once every 3-4 years. Is this better than Ray? Of course, but are there better coaches out there? I have to believe so

It's time for our Administration to cut people that are getting big pay checks for little results, not all of which are coaches.

Okay. It is time for this 1% of the fan base to understand something that you havenít figured out in 9 years.

Stansbury was a very loved Head basketball coach at Mississippi State because the other 99% of the fan base loved how totally involved in the program his family was. At a program with little history of Athletics success over most of their lifetimes, Family JUST MEANS MORE!

The fact that he also had a modicum of success, unless of course you are someone who only looks at success as winning it all, didnít hurt. Richard Williams was a great x and o guy, but Kirby and Stansbury were the recruiters. It took Williams 3 to 4 year cycles to build a really good team including the 96 team. But then, it always became a 3 year rebuild after 91 and 96 and he didnít stay around to complete the rebuild after the Final 4 run.

With Stansbury, his wife and kids were a part of the program, died in the wool hardcore love for the school and the team. That was endearing to longtime Bulldog fans. Those fans think he should have been given a chance to turn it around, to go back to recruiting ďteamĒ guys.

When you ran into Meo and the kids out in stores, she was warm and friendly and just a regular mom. You can hate on Stans all you want, but I would bet 60-70% of the ticket buyers would take him back in a heartbeat.

Compared to the last 9 years, I absolutely would, especially considering no highly respected coach wants the job.

I wish we played like 1995 UCLA. They won the Natty with a 32-1 record. Beat us in the tourney too.

Difficult to tell since they would win their comference tourney most years until Stans got there. But i think 2009 would have definitely been an at large bid. They have been to one more sweet sixteen since Stans became a head coach than Stans has ever been to

id say its easier to make the ncaa tourney there than at State
