    It looked bad. Lots of blood. Fortunately he got up immediately and was able to walk off the field. It was a 96 MPH fastball straight to the nose.

    The Braves pitcher that threw it was distraught. The game was delayed several minutes while they cleaned up the blood around home plate.

    was terrible. i can't believe he got up that fast. i've never seen blood pour out like that. not in baseball anyway.
