The pitching - particularly power arms that can get swing and miss - is the biggest separation point between the elite SEC teams and the best teams in other conferences. That guy was Arizonaís best starter, and his stuff was maybe on par with Houston Harding. You begin to realize just how good and competitive SEC baseball is when you go against ďgood pitchersĒ from other leagues in the postseason who canít get a swing and miss. If you canít strike people out, there is always the chance balls will find holes. You saw it today with NDís ace too.

Also, OM is a very different team all around when Nikhazy is on the mound. I think they went about 9-1 against SEC teams with him pitching and about .500 or maybe even worse when another starter pitches. Their entire lineup is much more confident when he is pitching.

Werenít suspended by the coaches. Was announced that they were suspended from the university by the deanís office. Likely academic / cheating scandal.

Thereís no doubt that we are different when Doug is on the mound. We are 31-9 in his 40 career starts and 14-2 this year. Itís mostly him being dominant, but the team has a different swagger to it when heís on the mound. That lost 2020 season of him and Hoglund, and yalls team with Foscue and Westberg up the middle, really sucks for both teams.

I have no clue who we throw tonight, but Iíve got a feeling we will have to win a slugfest. One good thing though is we havenít thrown any top bullpen arms other than Myers, yet. So I would imagine if itís close in through the 5th that Broadway is getting the ball to start the 6th.
