If they were playing Florida at Gainesville, I would be tempted to pick the Gators though...

They will lose a game they are not supposed to, but will still win the West, the SECCG and, maybe, the BSBCS title game.

I want to say 11-1 and a loss to Arkansas butMallet might only see the ball 10 minutes the entire game.

I really want to say 12-0 (8-0), but I'm predicting an upset somewhere along the way. And for the two who have predicted 9-3 (5-3), WTF are you smoking This might be the best team Saban's ever had. And he's won 2 national titles.

i hate to say this but as long as saban is at bama they will own college football. he will not get out recruited or out bid.

    Preseason Prognosticators - Week 9 - Alabama

Why do some of you people think they will go 9-3? The only reason I think it is possible is they have a few tough road games.

    Preseason Prognosticators - Week 9 - Alabama

the officials are willing to call holding. With honest officials Bama goes 10-2.

Having honest officials when Bama is involved would be quite the stretch.

...ok, now to take off my Bulldog and Blue Devil glasses...

    11-1 (7-1)

Loss to Arkansas. I know Arkansas is a chic pick this year, but I think Petrino's high-powered offense, playing at home, and outscore their porous defense due to Bama losing several starters off of last seasons defense. Doesn't mean I think Arky wins the west, though. Bad defenses will eventually get you beaten. Other than Arkansas, I think Auburn has the best chance to beat Bama, as Cam Newton and Co. should be well prepared by the 12th game to battle Bama.

    Preseason Prognosticators - Week 9 - Alabama

The talent is there, but the road is too tough. Might only trip up once, but games against Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU will all be close. The Tide is still good enough for the BCS. If they can overcome the schedule they'll once again make the title game, but I think they settle for Sugar after beating Florida (again) in Atlanta, despite losing a couple along the way.
