It will be their equivalent of Croom beating Florida. This year is probably going to be eerily familiar to our 04 year.

Wins over Central Arkansas, UTEP and Tulane but I can see UTEP or Tulane knocking them off.

Real wins agains tUCA, UTEP, and Tulane. But in the upset of the century, they finally lose a party ata record setting fourth straight Egg Bowl win by MSU.

2-10 (uh oh-. Be careful of the Utep team TSUN'ers that game'll be damn close! They will torch your defense w/ the run! But other than them & CA I in NO way see them beating Vandy! Vandy is on the move in the East! And they own the bear's ass!

I think they are going to be bad, real bad, particularly at the beginning of the season. And it's not a reflection on Freeze. They're Offensive Line is bad, they don't have any RB's who can block, and they basically have 1 TE who is an off the field problem, plus they are learning a new scheme. All while installing a new system. A system that doesn't compliment the body type of the O Linemen on the roster.
As for Defense they have more talent but they will soon learn to hate Dave Womack like every Ga Tech fan did here in Atlanta. His Defenses gave up big play after big play. Al Groh walks on water here just because he's not Dave Womack (and he's not a bad DC). I think Womack is one and done.

They lose out of the gate to Central Arkansas, similar to the last 2 years. Their wins are UTEP and Tulane. I still think they improve and play better particularly by the end of hte season but the schedule is too much.

The SEC winless streak finally ends with a close victory over Vandy only to have them start a new streak the following week.

Solid win over UCA, close wins over UTEP and Tulane, and an upset, last-secondwin over Vandy.

Routs to come at Bama, UGA and LSU. Close loss to A&M.Solid (10-to-20 points)losses to Texas,Auburn, UArk and MSU.

Central UPig, and a split between Tulane and UTEP.

I really hope they pack the season in by the time we roll into town. I love to hang 50 on them in the Vaught-Hemmerhoid.

W's at Central Ark, UTEP, Tulane.

Similar to our last few years, the only SEC-W team that they will be able to beat will continue to be themselves.

I really think 3-9 but the lucky s.o.b's normally have someone over look them and get a win. If they should screw up and lose to Central Arkansas, they could go 0-12.

Wins over OOC teams not named Texas.

In typical ole miss fashion, they play someone they have no business staying close with down to the wire, like @UGA.

If they go 5-7 I will never talk football for the rest of my life! They have depth issues EVERYWHERE except QB. If they go 5-7 State will be 12-0.....that's how ludacris that is!

Ely's Restaurant Preseason Prognosticators - Mississippi

...I think this team will play harder, but like the old ball coach says, they need players, meaning their depth sucks. If they get beat up the first couple of games, it might get ugly fast. My range would be:

    15% = 1-11
    20% = 2-10
    40% = 3-9
    20% = 4-8
    5% = anything better

I have to think either 2-10 or 3-9 is likely. I think they will be favored in 3 games. Central Arkansas, UTEP, and Tulane. UTEP is better than 99% of the Rebels think. Vanderbilt is highly improved and about 2 years ahead of TSUN.

I think the NCAA might open the doors for 5-7's as there will be too many bowls for 6-6ers +.

Ely's Restaurant Preseason Prognosticators - Mississippi

They win between 3 and 5. We are all just guessing when it comes down to it. Who would've thought we could win 5 in '09? I would just love to be the team that keeps them out of a bowl game, so I made my prediction based on that.

2-10, 0-8, pressure to move to the Sun Belt where they might actually be competitive.
